Agarwal Mansion

Interior design for a home now in execution: a living room, a dining area with a pooja niche, a kitchen and three bedrooms, drawn room by room in interior elevations, wardrobe internals and vanity details.

Agarwal Mansion is an interiors commission now in execution, so this page describes the design as drawn and rendered, not as built. The working set, dated October 2025 and checked by Ar. Uma Panghal, takes the home room by room: a living area of about 20 by 13 feet, a dining area beside the pooja, three bedrooms of about 12 by 13 to 14½ feet, and the vanities of three toilets.

In the renders, the living room is soft-classical in a restrained palette. The television wall is a white panel framed in fine moulding with ornamental plaster corners, the screen mounted above a dark fluted console with a marble top and brass legs. To one side stands a screen of fluted bronze-tinted glass in a brass frame; to the other, a tall panel in walnut veneer with inset moulding. A grey woven wall finish above a walnut ledge runs behind a beige sectional, with round white and brass coffee tables on a marble-look floor. The drawings add the working detail: a picture wall with picture lights, a glass partition, fine grooves set into the plaster, a finger-groove shutter with a brass strip, and dark veneer.

The kitchen is a single run: walnut-grain upper cabinets broken by open niches lit in copper tones for blue and white ceramics, taupe drawers below a pale stone counter and backsplash, a tall glass-fronted crockery unit at one end and a breakfast counter with a timber stool at the other. Beside a tower of built-in ovens, the pooja is a white double arch lit from within, with a patterned border and a run of drawers beneath, screened from the living room by a tinted glass panel in a brass frame. The dining drawings call for wallpaper, crown moulding and grooved panels, with tile matching the kitchen counter.

Each bedroom is drawn with its own character. Bedroom 1 specifies wallpaper, step moulding in duco finish, fluted panels, a mirror in a slim aluminium frame, and a nine-foot wardrobe with sliding ivory glass shutters, a trouser pull-out and a locker. Bedroom 2 has fluted veneer, texture paint, a fabric bed back, teak crown moulding and a wardrobe in brown-tinted glass with brass profiles beside a dressing area. Bedroom 3 has rounded mouldings, a fabric bed back, wallpaper, a pelmet and linear wall lights. The renders carry the same vocabulary: botanical wallpaper inside moulded panels behind an upholstered bed, fabric panels within rounded mouldings under a tree mural, and a textured grey wall over a walnut band with a floating desk.

The vanities follow the same discipline: stone tops with curved corners, drawers cut to fit around the plumbing, and finger grooves in place of handles. These are working drawings for the carpenters and masons, and they decide how closely the finished rooms will match the renders.
